Gorgeous space (can't wait to see what they do with the back space!)
The piadina I had was the caprese special, and it was disappointing. No basil - possibly basil oil? - was found, and the cheese was just generic supermarket stuff. The piadina itself was an unremarkable pita-wrap. It was somehow boring and really rich all at once - my dining partner's was also quite greasy. I'd probably try a make-your-own if I had another, and see if those flavours work better.
But the ricotta cake? Oh em gee, heavenly. Just incredible and delicious; I can't imagine how good it is fresh out of the oven. My dining partner also commended the coffee, which is also some of the cheapest in Newcastle CBD. Great selection of non-coffee drinks too.
Not bad, but not as mind-blowing as I had been lead to believe. But I would like to be left in the corner with an entire ricotta cake.
